Boston, MA, August 1, 2018 – Powerhouse Dynamics reported today on the most recent version of the SiteSage® enterprise asset and energy management platform that incorporates a wide range of new features specifically requested by customers. SiteSage is used by major restaurant, convenience store, and specialty retailer chains across North America and is installed in almost 5,000 locations.
“We always listen to our customers” said Jason Roeder, Sr. Director of Product Management for Powerhouse Dynamics. “Late last year, however, we launched a major Voice of Customer campaign, combining on-line surveys, focus groups, and telephone interviews, in a concerted effort to better understand the things we could do to make SiteSage an even more effective solution for our diverse set of customers and users. When we compiled the results, we determined that we could boil the requests down to the same common theme – ‘make my life easier’”.
To that end, Powerhouse Dynamics released a broad set of new functionality over a period of several months. This includes a new “snap shot feature” that allows users to configure, in seconds, a landing page with the most important information for them. Since users run the gamut from store managers to regional managers to facility managers to CEOs, this allows each user to quickly capture the information of most importance to him or her.
Also released is an enterprise level “HVAC Fix List” function that proactively e-mails the facility team a list of the most urgent equipment issues, leveraging advanced analytics and diagnostics. Yet another new function directly addresses a major issue faced by large chains: how do you address the challenge that store hours are not always the same when scheduling potentially hundreds if not thousands of pieces of HVAC and other equipment? SiteSage already addressed this by allowing the creation of temporary schedules – e.g. a “Black Friday” schedule that reverts back to the standard schedule the next day. Based on customer input, this has now been enhanced with the ability to “forward schedule” operating hours, creating a long-term calendar of store hours and leveraging SiteSage’s ability to schedule equipment based not just on absolute time but also relative to operating hours.
