Customer Support Associate – Temporary: Newton, MA

Boston area-based Powerhouse Dynamics (PhD) is looking for a confident individual to work on a part-time, temporary basis as a Customer Support Associate. The Customer Support Associate will assist PhD’s Operations Team with outbound calls to customers to address issues with the SiteSage systems installed at their locations, and update customers on scheduling new SiteSage installations.  The Customer Support Associate may also perform routine tasks related to customer connectivity and operational planning.

PhD’s Internet of Things-based platform, SiteSage®, helps our customers better manage their equipment, reduce energy consumption, enhance food safety and quality, and achieve their sustainability goals. It has been adopted by numerous major brands including Arby's, Dunkin’ Donuts, Pizza Hut, Ann Taylor, Five Below, Lush Cosmetics, and many more.

We are looking for a someone that has a confident phone demeanor, is comfortable dealing with technology, and is willing to work approximately 20 hours per week (Monday through Friday between 9AM and 5PM) at our MBTA bus-accessible Newton, MA office.  We will work with the successful candidate on a mutually agreeable schedule.  We are planning on this position continuing for at least 2 months, but that could be very well be extended.

Responsibilities

  • Making calls to help customers restore system connectivity, which typically involves walking the customer through steps needed to bring the hardware back on to the SiteSage network
  • Reaching out to customers who have received new or replacement hardware to help ensure the components get installed
  • Reaching out to customers and contractors to help coordinate upcoming installations
  • Documenting call outcomes and next steps
  • Performing additional duties as called upon to assist our customers and drive PhD forward
